I would like to introduce you to our own furbabies (monkeys) and read a bit about them.
Time to Paws Behaviour Consulting has worked with in excess of 400 dogs since the beginning and have put a few of them here for you to read about.
Rio
Hi, I am a working type English Springer Spaniel, I am the oldest furbaby at my home. I am an older gent who has lived with fear aggression after being attacked on two occasions. I love to be out, with a ball, rain or shine, but most of all getting wet from rivers and puddles, oh, and getting really dirty of course. A mucky springer is a happy springer! I don't like people to come straight up to me, I prefer to approach humans and doggy pals myself.
Mali
Hi there, I am a working type Cocker Spaniel. I look very sweet, and everyone loves me, my nickname is Demon, as you can guess, I am quite young but I am very mischievious and very vocal. I think I have manners and I am sometimes well-behaved. Still a long way to go yet but my hooman pawrents are guiding me in the right direction. I love people, dogs, like to chase cats and birds, I have a mania for socks and enjoy bombing around the place
Diego
Where to start...I am a cross bred staffy but not sure with what, not too sure how old I am exactly either. I have had a few homes and hoomans have been very cruel to me. I don't know why? Luckily I was taken in by a relative of the family that owned me but I have so many issues and they couldn't fully commit to help. I did not trust hoomans at all, I would display aggression extensively but was also shutting down. I had an old leg injury among other things. Thankfully I was helped into a special rescue space where I know I never have to go through any physical or emotion pain again
Daisy
Hi, I am another elderly pooch, I am a Harlequin Great Dane. I have to wear a muzzle because I used to get attacked by little dogs when I was out, I didn't like this and decided to tell the little dogs off, but then I got into trouble. The hoomans belonging to the little dog called the police. My subjects are very responsible and wanted to make sure that I was protected. I love going out and get very excited when I do. Once I am out I enjoy lots of sniffs, I don't mind other dogs going past me but if they bark at me, I don't like it and will bark back. I am very big and very strong so need very careful handling, understanding and patience.
Cody
I am a fruitloop, I am 5 years old, and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. A lot of people are afraid of us, but there's really no reason to be. I love people, my people, your people, little people and old people. ALL PEOPLE.
As you can see from my picture, I like lots of hugs and kisses and cuddles.....even when I am out walking......I enjoy my walks and I am mostly allowed off my lead. But, when I see another dog, especially if I am on my lead, I don't like it. I growl and look very nasty, but this is my warning to the other dog(s) that I don't want them to come near me. I am perfectly fine provided I have enough distance between them and me. But I love my cuddles!
Kevin
I am a 6 year old rescue dog. My owner believes that I am an Otterhound cross Beagle. I was very badly behaved with people, dogs, cats, bikes and lots of other things. There really wasn't a particular reason for why I would lunge at things, I just didn't like them. They frightened me so I had to make them go away. I did this very well infact, but my owner was getting very embarressed. I had attacked people and dogs and did have a bite history. After working on being kept calm while I was out, I can now cope with other dogs passing me in close proximity, without worrying. I am much calmer, I don't lunge at people or other things now but every now and again I may have a little setback. My owner has been given the necessary tools to help me back on track.
Harley
I am quite young and a Border Collie. I have many Collie traits, including not liking my people leaving where I have put them. I can't work with sheep so have to make do with hoomans. I am a very fearful, skittish kind of dog, if you came into my home, I would bark at you, if you came too close or tried to leave I would attack and bite you.
I needed help, I was very scared of people being near me. I did get the help I needed, but I needed my safe space, I had my crate brought into the room so I could be around but not be close to visitors, I could see them but didn't have to be fussed, I didn't like being fussed.
My owners started to take me out with a visitor before they came in, and always brought me a special bag with some goodies in it. After our little walk, we would come back home, the visitor would place a goodie in my crate, and then I would go in. I would have my door shut so that I could feel safe and enjoy what I had been given. This helps me lots.
Buddy
Hi I unfortunately did not have the best start to my life, I had been abused and had some kind of liquid put on me to burn my skin and fur. I'm not sad though, I am a very lucky boy. I think I am nearly 2 years old, my owner is so patient but didn't really understand why I would want to play with some dogs and attack others, or why I would want to warn people off coming too close to my home. I don't like people coming to my home.
My owner was shown that it wasn't that I didn't like dogs, I just didn't really understand what they meant when they approached me, or if they wanted to play, I couldn't help it. My recall was also very bad when I wanted to go and play with a friend. I am much more confident now, and a much better socialised and understanding boy.
Arthur
Oh yes.....I'm here, aren't I just gorgeous! All bulldogs are gorgeous don't you think!? Well my hoomummy and hoodaddy needed help with me because they think I am so boisterous (not really) I just have my own way of greeting you, oh yea and I HATE being on my own. If I was left on my own I would chew up skirting boards, pvc window ledges, concrete floors, all of my toys (ooopsie) and throw myself at the window if a hooman came to my front door.
Also I am not very confident since I lost my brother and best friend last year.....he was my teacher.....so now I make do with hoomummy and hoodaddy.
Smudge
Hi, I am a 6year old show type Cocker Spaniel, I was being rehomed due to an incident with the toddler that lived in my home. I was put in kennels until somewhere else could be found for me to live - my previous owners said I had to go. I have now been rescued by a lovely couple and couldn't ask for a nicer home. I wasn't nasty, I was hurting but my previously family wouldn't get me fixed - I had a lump on my spine, my bottom hurt lots (anal glands) and my teeth were really bad, but my new family fixed all of that with their vet. I am really lucky now, I live by a beach, I get to go on lots of walks, I will have 4 holidays a year (had only ever been on 1 in my whole 6 years) and I love going through woodland and countryside with my people!
I am working towards being out and about remaining calm, relaxed and enjoying my walks. I know I will get there with the help....I have already made huge improvements!

In a world where you can be anything......I am a lurcher...... I was found wandering the streets with my sister, luckily we were both picked up and taken to Hope Rescue where they split us up unfortunately.
I was rehomed by a beautiful family high up in the welsh valley, but like most rescues my personality was an issue. I really didn't like some dogs and would bark and lunge at them, but mainly I would bark loudly to try to play with the other dogs. They never wanted to play with me and people began to be afraid of me. I really don't understand why they don't like me - not even their hoomans would let them play with me
